4B have written fantastic descriptive recounts in response to their study of Jeannie Baker’s ‘Where the Forest Meets the Sea’.
They imagined arriving at and then exploring an ancient rainforest. The children were focusing on using ambitious vocabulary, first person, paragraphing and writing in chronological past tense! Here are some of the pupil’s ‘working drafts’, in which they are encouraged to constantly make improvements and edits as they write, and try their best at spellings.
