Josh T (Year 8) is our Star Boarder of the Week this week. Josh currently boards twice a week and always displays fantastic behaviour around the Boarding House. Josh is also enthusiastic and committed to his music practice sessions. The Boarding Team were especially impressed with his practice on Thursday evening. Josh is a great role model for all our boarders.
When asked to pick a prize from the prize box, Josh did not think about himself, he thought about his younger brother Elliot (Year 3) and said “I will pick the chess game because my little brother loves playing chess with me.” How adorable!
We celebrated two birthdays this week – we said Happy Birthday to Mr Roberts on Tuesday and to Ellenna C (Year 6) on Thursday. We enjoyed the singing from the choristers and the delicious cakes made by our chef Debbie. Thank you Debbie!
Lots of different games were played again this week, outdoors or indoors. My favourite moment as Housemaster – but especially as French teacher – was watching and listening to Daisy BD (Year 8) and Margot CM (Year 6) play Guess Who in French. What a privilege and rewarding moment for me to see two ECS pupils use the language they learn in class to communicate outside the classroom. Well done girls.
