Merry Christmas from FECS

We may not have been able to host our usual FECS Christmas Fair but there was no stopping Father Christmas this year. We organised for Father Christmas to visit Hall House as usual on 4 December to spread some socially-distanced festive cheer and give each child a small gift. Though he wasn’t able to visit the Chantry he sent the children a special recorded Christmas message. A huge thank you to Father Christmas and his elves for visiting at a challenging time!

According to FECS tradition, each child in Hall House was given a party bag at the class parties on Wednesday 9th December. This year FECS provided a selection box and Christmas treats, including stationery, a wrist band and a balloon. The FECS Christmas discos for Chantry children were, sadly, unable to take place this year due to Covid restrictions but each child received a party bag of Christmas treats. FECS is very grateful for the help of parents and staff and FECS committee members – thank you for making these festivities possible this year and for helping us to end the year with some fun and familiarity.

We would also like to thank all those who attended the FECS Family Quiz Night in November. We had a lot of fun, thanks to our fabulous host, Nicky Dunn, and we raised a huge £362.50 to support enrichment activities and equipment for all children at ECS! It was lovely to see the kids helping us all with the tough questions – a great end to the year and we are hoping to be able to run more events in 2021.

Finally, FECS would like to say thank you to parents and staff for their continued support and we wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy and healthy new year.
