FECS Letter 9th November

Welcome back everyone. I hope you’ve all had a great half term and are feeling refreshed for the busy line up of events that FECS have arranged running up to Christmas. The first of which was our coffee morning that took place this morning, and later today we are hosting our first junior school movie night in Kalendar Hall, and I know we have some very excited children looking forward to it. The committee have also been extremely busy arranging the Christmas Fayre which is taking place next Saturday (17th November) in The Chantry from 12-4pm, as well as the junior and senior Christmas discos, and a special visit from Father Christmas for all the children in Hall House.

Hall House Cake Sale
The first Hall House cake sale which took place before we broke up for half term was a great success, so thank you to all of Year 2 for running this!

Christmas Fayre

As the Christmas Fayre is just around the corner we have sent home letters asking for donations to start coming in today. We have asked everyone to bring in filled jam jars and then Hall House to bring in prizes for the bottle tombola and The Chantry to bring in items for the Secrets and Surprises tent. As well as this we are also looking for further donations which can be brought in throughout next week as follows:

• Good quality toys for the toy stall
• Homemade crafts for our Christmas craft stall – e.g. chutneys, xmas, knitted/crocheted items and Christmas decorations etc
• Soft dos for the teddy tombola stall
• Cakes and bakes to be brought in on Friday 16th November
• Bottles for the bottle tombola stall
• Gift items for the Secrets and Surprises stall
• Filled jam jars for the jam jar tombola stall

As well as this you will also have received some raffle tickets. We ask that you kindly support us by selling these tickets, and this year we are running a competition whereby the class who sells the most tickets will receive a fun breakfast treat before school one morning. Please may I ask that you bring back your raffle tickets and money as soon as possible along with any unsold raffle tickets so we can have the opportunity to sell these on.

The volunteer sheet is now available for people to sign up on, there are still many slots available so please help us to make this a great day by signing up here:
