Years 1 – 8 enjoyed an inspirational assembly from the explorer Ann Daniels, a member of the first team of British women to travel by skis to both the North and the South poles.
Year 2 were also lucky enough to have a further workshop with Ann, where they got to look closely at her kit and even try to open essential chocolate rations whilst wearing an enormous warm glove!
Ann taught us lots about the places she had visited, but more importantly, she told us that we should not give up on things, even when they seem impossible at first.
