Mother’s Day in Hall House
We were delighted to welcome our mothers (and others) who care for us into Hall House last Friday for our traditional Mother’s Day celebrations. Year 3 Presents… An Evening of Roald Dahl
Last Thursday, saw Year 3 present a selection of sketches and poems by Roald Dahl. There were monstrous characters, from The Twits, to the terrifying Miss Trunchbull, and comedy turns from the Enormous Crocodile and The Three Little Pigs. Fantastic Mr. Fox pulled off his daring plan, the BFG saved everyone from the child eating […]

Year 6 were set the challenge to design and build an earthquake proof structure, which had to withstand an earthquake for 10 seconds with a weight on the different floors. A great experience learning about the importance of safe construction, Cross and K bracing and counter weights. Lots of fun in the process.
The Larkman Cup
A brilliant effort from all our runners in the Larkman Cup at Blundell’s. It was a tough course but the ECS representatives got through. Well done to all the competitors!

These misnomers hang heavy in the modern air, and it seems that Dickens’ own iconic (if not altogether laudable) Headmaster Mr Squeers’ […]
