This week in the Boarding House

What a fantastic last week of term it has been for our wonderful boarders!

This week, instead of having our usual Star Boarder of the week, we had two Star Boarders, and I would like to call them our Star Boarders of Michaelmas Term. Both Margot CM and Ellenna C (Year 6) have been fantastic every week of what has been a long and challenging term for our boarders. They have displayed fantastic behaviour, manners and a very positive and enthusiastic attitude to boarding every single day. Well done girls.

On Wednesday evening, we had our Boarding Christmas supper. Thank you very much to our catering team who worked really hard to provide all of us with a delicious meal. Judging by the number of children who went for seconds, I think it is safe to say that it was a success.

On Thursday evening, boarders could not wait any longer to open their Secret Santa presents. It is always such a pleasure to see so much happiness in the smiles and laughter of our wonderful pupils. As Head of Boarding, I feel blessed and grateful to have the privilege to look after the boarders at ECS and to work with such amazing colleagues.

Thank you Ms Baxendale, Mr Roberts, Mr Featherstone, Miss Roberts, Miss Smith and Mr Swain for all your hard work in the Boarding House. On behalf of all the boarders I wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

This week we are saying farewell to Miss Roberts who is returning to Australia after spending most of the calendar year with us. We are very lucky to have had such a caring, loving and dedicated gap with us at ECS and especially in the Boarding House. We are all looking forward to your next visit.

As Miss Roberts is leaving, Miss Pyman will be coming back to re-join the Boarding Team in January. Everyone is very excited to welcome Miss Pyman back.

Merry Christmas everyone. Stay safe.

Mr Baurance

Head of Boarding.
