Roman life in Devon
The Year 8 Latin class visited our local RAMM museum this week for workshops on Roman life and a tour of the Roman exhibits.
We heard about how the Romans adapted their clothing to cope with a Devon winter and the correct way to put on a toga (two slaves required to help!). There were lots of replica items to handle associated with Roman life and everyone had a turn at trying the Roman musical instrument. It appears that there is untapped brass-playing potential in the Latin set!
