ECS is delighted to introduce Mr Cédric Baurance as its new Boarding Housemaster and Head of MFL.
Mr Baurance studied English in Lille before spending a year abroad in the United States, after which he taught English in France for a few months and then moved to England (about nine years ago) to formally train as a teacher. After weeks of tests and interviews in London, he secured his first teaching position in Shropshire. For the past seven years he has worked at Ellesmere College, teaching French and Spanish. He was also overnight cover in the middle school boys’ boarding house and assistant Housemaster in the Lower School boarding house.
Mr Baurance added, ‘I am really excited about joining the ECS family. Everyone has been so kind and supportive it is a pleasure to work here. My aim is to make every boarder a part of the boarding family. We are a small community and we should help and support each other. It is a privilege to look after boarders and make sure they develop into independent, kind and mature young people.’
