Exciting new Saturday activities for all Year 3-8 ECS pupils

It was a very busy first week back in the Boarding House after a well-deserved half term break. After reading about this week’s Star Boarder, you’ll find information about our new, exciting Saturday activities for all Year 3-8 ECS pupils, and how to book.

⭐️ Star Boarder

Our Star Boarder this week is Eliza A (Year 5).

When she was in Year 4, Eliza approached me because she wanted to try boarding. I took her for a tour of the Boarding House, showed her where she would sleep if she decided to board, and answered any questions she had. A couple of days later, I received an email from Eliza’s mum booking her in for a taster night.

Since then, Eliza has been boarding every week.

She started with one night a week, then loved it so much that she begged her parents to stay two nights a week. This week and last week, Eliza has been boarding three nights a week. Every time she boards, Eliza is the perfect example of what being a boarder at Exeter Cathedral School is – she is always happy, cheerful, smiley, in a good mood, she behaves fantastically, she shows great maturity and independence for such a young child, and she enjoys every moment spent with her boarding family.

Well done Eliza, you deserve to be our Star Boarder again.

Haldon Forest

We are looking forward to taking the day boarders to Haldon Forest tomorrow to enjoy the Go Ape treetop adventure.

An exciting opportunity for your child: please remember that exciting activities are organised every Saturday and they are open to all Year 3-8 ECS pupils, whether they are regular boarders or not.

If you are interested in any of these activities, bookings must be made by email to [email protected] by 12 noon on the Wednesday of the previous week. At that point, the tickets (or similar) for the Saturday Activity will be purchased by the School and the £30 added to your School fee account.

Finally, please also note that activities may have to be cancelled if there are not enough pupils booked in.

Best wishes,

Cédric Baurance
