The Kate Greenaway and Carnegie Medal shortlisted books have been announced this week and I would like to invite pupils in Years 3-8 to come along and join one of our Shadowing Groups.
Pupils read the shortlisted books and discuss with group members what they like or dislike about the texts before posting reviews on the Carnegie Shadowing site; a website specifically set up for schools to get involved in the event. Ultimately, we aim to select a winner from each shortlist – sometimes we agree, other times we have a difference of opinion! Nevertheless, it is a fun way to take a closer look at the books.
The ECS Shadowing Groups will commence next week in the Library for Years 3-8. Please see Ms McConnell, Librarian, if you wish to take part.
