Celebrating Shakespeare Week

No ‘bibble-babble’ or ‘slug-abeds’ were permitted in the Chantry Library this week as pupils celebrated the life of Shakespeare and his plays. There were various activities on offer each day: quizzes, word searches, and Shakespearean insults and/or compliments were thrown in equal measure.  Our Librarian read ‘Romeo and Juliet’, (yes, they did kiss!) and the children designed masquerade masks for the two lovers.  The celebration ended with enthusiastic retellings of ‘The Tempest’ and ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, using finger puppets.
