International Day 3rd April 2019

Dear Parents/Carers,

Hello, I am Leela R, a pupil of Exeter Cathedral School and I am organising international day with the help of a committee and teachers. I am in year seven and I am interested in culture and politics.

I am writing to you today about International Day. International day is where we celebrate differences by setting up stalls for people to come in and represent where they are from or a place they love, teaching children about diversity and different cultures in a fun active way.

We are inviting you to come in on Wednesday 3rd April to help teach more children about different cultures and what different countries have to offer. You would be setting up stalls representing where you are from or a country you love and know a bit about. It could include giving out food, games, traditions and more and if you feel you can offer other things please let us know. We do not expect you to bring every thing on that list but please bring what you can. We would love for you to come. The timings are at the bottom of the page. If you cannot run a stall for the full amount of hours you can contact us and we will try find someone to share a stall with you.

Timings:

8:00-9:00 arrival and set up

9:00-12:45 pupils visiting stalls

1:00 lunch (optional) and then clear up

We would be very pleased to hear from you if you would like to be involved. Please email [email protected] in the first instance.
