FECS Letter 3rd May

Trinity term is by far FECS’ busiest time of the year which commenced with our first general meeting of the term this Wednesday and coffee morning which took place this morning.

Hopefully you’ve all spotted the posters that have been going up over the course of this week and seen the portal notices advertising our forthcoming events.  The next of which is Junior Movie Night taking place on Thursday 9th May from 5.15pm until 7.15pm.  Tickets cost £4.50 and include hot dogs, ice-cream and popcorn.  Children attending prep club or a club will be escorted over from The Chantry to Kalendar by a member of staff and FECS volunteers.

Shortly after it the FECS Art Exhibition & Auction Fundraiser on 17th May at 7 pm in The Chapter House.  This is really set to be an exciting evening show casing collaborative pieces of art work from all pupils throughout the school, as well as this we have some wonderful local artists that will be exhibiting some carefully selected pieces of art for sale. Accompanying get art exhibition is the annual auction hosted by Chris Hampton.  We have some fantastic auction lots this year such as…

A one week seaside holiday stay in Normandy, France

A camper van weekend

Afternoon tea for two at Hotel Du Vin

A stay in a Woolacombe Beach Retreat

A cookery course for two at Exeter Cookery School

Lunch for two at the Galley Restaurant in Topsham

… and many, many more!

The complete list of auction lots will be sent out on the portal next week along with a bidding form for anyone wishing to place a bid prior to the event.

Tickets for both the junior movie night and Art Exhibition & Auction Fundraiser are available to purchase at www.pta-events.co.uk/fecs

Plans are also well underway for the FECS summer fete which takes place on Saturday 15th June from 10am until 4pm on the Cathedral Green so please save the date!  We are currently sourcing raffle prizes so please do get in touch with us if you would like to donate a prize.
