Birthdays, team games and circus skills club for the boarders

What a busy week it has been for our boarders!

We celebrated three birthdays this week. Happy Birthday Margot (Year 7), Rupert (Year 4) and Milo (Year 8)!

Over the course of the week, boarders had fun making soup and baking cupcakes with Mrs Lake-Johns, they played dodgeball with Mr. Baurance and loved to see Ms. Baxendale get involved – Ms. Baxendale was very competitive 😊 – they also had a quiz night on Thursday evening. It was lovely to see the older boarders team up with the younger boarders and working together to find as many answers as possible. The true ECS spirit!

When it is possible to accommodate, boarders sometimes go out to town to attend other club evening sessions. This term, Eliza (Year 6) started going to a circus skills club in Exeter. She came back tired and sore but absolutely loved every second of it. Well done, Eliza!

Eliza is also our Star Boarder of the week along with Edward K (Year 8). Both have had an excellent and positive week in the Boarding House, taking into account the importance of hygiene to stop the spread of illnesses, punctuality and respect of other people’s space and property. Well done, you too.
