Award for ECS film

The ECS team is proud to announce that its film, ‘Back to the Past’, was presented with the Special Mention Award at the Two Short Nights film premiere.

After a tough weekend shooting and producing their film, the ECS team were successfully selected to be one of the 24 short films shown Exeter Phoenix’s Two Short Nights premiere.

The selected films were shown to a full audience on the evening of the 30th November. It was a nerve-racking moment but the audience’s response to the film was incredibly positive.

As the only school in attendance, ECS really held its ground against some visually impressive competition. The ECS team took great interest in observing how the other teams had interpreted the tricky brief – which required the following: a Sci-fi theme, a local politician as a character, a selected object (a thimble), and to read or show the following text “For Sale. Great Condition. Good Size. Missing the key for the padlock.”

Shortly after the premiere, an award ceremony shortly  was held and the ECS team was the first to receive an a prize. The pupils collected their Special Mention Award from the front as the audience gave them a solid round of applause.

Well done to the ECS team:

And thanks must also go to the parents who offered their time over the weekend.
