Library News

Year 2 It is lovely to see the Year 2 children enjoying the books in the Chantry Library each week. They are now familiar with where to find their favourite genres and often spend time reading and talking about what they have discovered. There are a number of very willing senior pupils who give up […]
Year 3 and 4 Enrichment Activity
On Tuesday 2nd May the Creative Arts Department from Queen’s Taunton School spent the day with Years 3 and 4. Using our wonderful Chapter House space and Kalendar Hall, the children were encouraged to draw an imaginary circle around themselves, their own “bubble” in which to experiment with all sorts of different sounds and use […]
Pre-Prep Pentecost Service
On Wednesday the whole of Pre-Prep, from Nursery to Year 2, gathered together in the Quire of Exeter Cathedral to learn about and celebrate Pentecost. (Pentecost actually falls on the 20th May, so our celebrations were early, but very enjoyable!). The children had an opportunity to sing some of the worship songs they had been […]
FECS Letter 4th May
Thank you to everybody that attended our children’s spring fair on Saturday, there were some fantastic creations produced by the children that attended. A massive thank you also to our story tellers and all the parents that helped to make this a lovely relaxed event. Year 1 also hosted the Hall House cake sale on […]

Choosing when to call shirt-sleeve order is a famously-mysterious dark art, and I suspect it’s a little way off at the moment, given the rained-off fixtures […]
Cathedral Choir Tour 2018
I suspect that there are few experiences more exhilarating for a cathedral chorister than creating a CD, singing live on a BBC Radio 3 Broadcast, singing for the installation of a New Dean and Precentor, singing the farewell service to a person who is soon to become the first ever female Bishop of London (the […]

We were soon joined by Mr Featherstone who got us running all over the playground after the ball. Such a lovely atmosphere. Over the Easter […]
