Weekly Blog: The Choristers Return
After what Canon Mustard says was the longest interruption to Cathedral sung services since Oliver Cromwell, it has been brilliant to get the choristers back singing over the last few weeks. Over the summer, studies have been carried out nationally to provide a framework of a way for church and cathedral choirs to be able […]
Year 4 Roman Roads
4B have been learning about Roman Roads and how and why they were constructed. We then tried to make our own using paper mounds of earth to create ditches and a camber, and tissue paper gravel and cardboard paving stones. It would take us a very long time to recreate the Fosse Way (which ran […]
Hedgehogs in Hall House
Year 1 have been learning all about hedgehogs this week, finding out lots of facts and making a factfile. In addition to learning that they can be very noisy when they forage for food, despite their tiny size! We have also learnt that adult hedgehogs have around 5000 spines!

Letters to Bishop Martin
Bishop Martin kindly came to see Year 4 so they could ask him questions about his faith for our R.S topic “People of Faith”. He fielded questions such as “where is Heaven?” and the children were, as always, so happy to listen to his stories and answers. 4B wrote some lovely letters to thank him […]
