A traditional Boarders’ Christmas Supper!

We are already and quickly approaching the end of the Michaelmas Term 2022 and it has been, as usual, an extremely busy but fun, term for all our lovely boarders.

⛳️ Footgolf

Last Saturday, we went to the Activity Centre in Ottery St Mary to play Footgolf. It was a bit chilly out there but that didn’t stop any fierce competition!

🎄 Boarders’ Christmas supper

Yesterday, we had our traditional Boarders’ Christmas supper. The chocolate fountain was undoubtedly the most popular part of the evening.

We then gathered as a family around the Christmas tree in the Boarding House to exchange our Secret Santa presents, with Santa himself even making an appearance.

As Head of Boarding, I must say, I felt very proud to see all the boarders spend time together – particularly the older boarders speaking to and laughing with the younger ones. There were surely smiles and laughter all round.

⭐️ Star Boarders and a goodbye

Our Star Boarders this week are Antoine and Alejandra. Unfortunately, Alejandra is going back to school in Spain after spending a whole term at Exeter Cathedral School. It was her second time at Exeter Cathedral School and we have loved having her. Alejandra settled in instantly, as if she had never left, and she quickly became a reliable role model for our younger boarders. We will miss you, Alejandra.

An enormous thank you to Ms Baxendale, Miss Barr, Miss Imm, Mr Featherstone and Mr Swain for all their hard work and help looking after the boarders on a daily basis. I could not do it all without you. Thank you also to our catering team for everything that you do for us.

I wish all the boarding staff, the boarders and their families a wonderful Christmas season.
