A Day at the Zoo

What a wonderful day at the zoo!

We saw some soggy owls; some dripping wet ostriches and some lions and tigers in their warm shelters avoiding all the rain. After a much needed lunch in a dry restaurant, the rain decided to stop and the animals became more visible and ventured outside their warm beds. The gorillas scratched a lot; the crocodiles stared; the rhinos played with some logs and the budgerigars swooped over our heads.

The children were wonderful and used lots of energy climbing up and down the hills to see which animals they could discover next.

Many thanks to all our parent helpers on the day, who, as always, make these trips possible and enjoyable.
