Boarding House News

Star Boarder of the Week this week is Edward K (Year 5) who has had a fantastic week. He has been the first one up and ready to do his music practice, he has behaved really well and put a lot of effort into keeping his dorm tidy. He has also been very kind to other boarders. Well done Edward.

Last weekend the boarders and Ms Baxendale decorated the Christmas tree. The Boarding House is now ready for Santa’s arrival.

On Wednesday 11th December is the Big Panto Sleepover! We are all going to the Northcott Theatre to see Beauty and the Beast.

Children will go straight from clubs to supper at 5pm and will then be taken to the Theater using the school mini buses.

The show starts at 6pm and lasts approximately two hours. We will be back in school and in the Boarding House at about 8.30pm when children will have a quick shower and will go to bed.

For that evening, children will be in their uniforms and therefore will not need to bring any mufti. However, it would be appreciated if they could bring some pyjamas, a bag of toiletries, a towel, a change of clothes for the next school day and of course their favourite cuddly toy.

In the morning, we will all have breakfast together and children will be sent to school at 8am.

The whole boarding team is looking forward to what is going to be a fantastic evening.

The Christmas holidays are approaching very quickly. I would like to take this opportunity to let our boarders’ parents that the Boarding House will not be used over the holidays and therefore boarders are more than welcome to leave their belongings in their dorms.

On behalf of the whole boarding team, I wish you all a fabulous Christmas. We will see you all in New Year.

Yours sincerely,

Cédric Baurance
Head of Boarding and Head of Languages
