Coming home to the Boarding House

“If you think someone could use a friend, be one.”

How exciting it was to welcome back our lovely boarders but also some new boarders this week in Eyre House!

It has been a week full of fun and excitement with trips to the park and lots of fun games played on the playground.

Our first Star Boarder this academic year is Dominic M (Year 8). For those of you who have never been to the Boarding House, we have a big black board in the Common Room and every week there is a new inspirational thought to read for the boarders. This week, the thought was all about kindness and said “If you think someone could use a friend, be one.” That is exactly what Dominic did. Not only was he well behaved, polite and kept his dorm tidy, he also looked after three new boarders who were a bit nervous about boarding, especially our youngest boarder so far (Year 4). Dominic was very patient and made sure they were happy and had everything they need. In addition to all of these, Dominic made sure that every single boarder was involved and included in all the activities on offer. Well done Dominic. What a great start!
