Applying for a place to join the Nursery at Exeter Cathedral School is very straightforward.
Children can join the Nursery at any stage of the term in which they reach the age of 3. For example, if a child is 3 in November, they may join the school the preceding September. All places are subject to availability and our standard admission procedures. Our Registrar, Mrs Lucy Lewis will be very pleased to help with all stages of this process.
The Admission procedure:
Request a prospectus via the link below or by contacting the School Registrar.
We will help you arrange a visit. This will include a tour of the Nursery and all other areas of the School with the Headmaster and Head of Nursery.
Registration. We suggest that you register your child, either before or after your visit, by completing and returning a registration form and registration fee.
We will help you arrange a taster session (usually a morning only for Nursery pupils). The aim of the taster session is to ascertain that your child will be happy and will thrive at ECS and is ready to participate in the Nursery activities provided. Some light-touch assessing will take place during the taster session.
Feedback and offering of a place. If all has gone well a formal offer of a place will be made. To confirm the place, you will be asked to complete a confirmation of entry form.
For full details please refer to the School’s Admission Policy.
